"My TV set was almost 7 yrs old now but it still shows 1080i HD TV from my TELUS Optik TV"
April 29, 2013 Posted by Lee, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

My Daytek DT4040 works again! Thank you very much. I was amazed by your fast service and kind explanation. Even though my TV set was almost 7 yrs old now but it still shows 1080i HD TV from my TELUS Optik TV. Since most cables or IPTVs resolution is 720P or 1080i, I intend to keep for few more years.

Thank you again
Regards
Lee

Happy New Year,

After unsuccessfully trying to locate a replacement board online, I am glad we repaired our TV and did not rush out for a new one. I will post a few msgs on the net to try and help you increase your Google rating.

Thank you very much!!!

"After reading up on it I'm 100% its the power supply board."
December 10, 2010 Posted by Murray, St Pauls, Ontario, Canada

Hi Nick, I have a Daytek with a power supply problem. After reading up on it I'm 100% its the power supply board. Would like to get it fixed if possible. I live 2 Hours from Toronto.

Thanks Murray
-----------
Daytek's are excellent TVs with Samsung displays except the power supply suck. I will upgrade your board. I replace usually 8 to 10 components. Daytek will not repair these boards most likey because of the labour involved. Most of my customers are in the Toronto area and have bought the TV from COSTCO for about $1100 to $1500.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have the power supply out and will send it out this weekend.

Hi Murray I received your board this morning. I repaired the board and load tested it on a TV. All is well...I sent it back to you this afternoon. I included the parts I replaced. I did not see the bottom plastic insulating sheet. Be sure to install it!!! I upgraded the critical components with the best possible. The TV has an excellent Samsung LCD display and will give you years of great enjoyment...

"I got a daytek tv with a bp-200 ad power supply that is humming and then causes the tv to power off."
November 24, 2010 Posted by Rachel M., Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

one quick question, are you just going to replace one component?

Rachel
-----------
All critical components are upgraded. I replace on average about 8 to 10 components. Most supplies that I fix have IC's that are also blown. Then I upgrade an IC and drive transistor. The board is load tested on a TV. Your TV has an excellent Samsung LCD display and will give you years of great enjoyment.

ok thats what I wanted to hear. I wanted to make sure you weren't going to only replace one cap and then return it. Excellent, I'll send it out on monday. Can you give me the shipping information for me to ship it to you?

Rachel

The Canada Post tracking number is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. It should arrive in about three working days.
Thank you and ENJOY!!!

"Thank you very much Nick for saving my TV."
October 20, 2010 Posted by Lance G., Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada

In the morning I turned on my TV (DAYTEK DT3220) to put cartoons on for the kids while I prepared breakfast and to my surprise there was this awful "humming" sound coming from the back of the TV. I thought it was the station but, the humming was even there when I was on another TV input.

I did some research on the Internet and came across Nick’s site. I will be honest, I was sceptical at first, however, after communication with Nick via email he put my mind at ease. Based on Nick’s very accurate instructions I was able to remove the power supply with little to no effort. I followed the instructions on the site and mailed him the power supply.

A few days later I got confirmation from Nick that he had received the power supply. He sent me another email saying it had been repaired and that he was going to "load" test it for a few days.

About 10 days from the day I sent the power supply to Nick, I received the repaired power supply in the mail, I followed the instructions on the site (in reverse) to put the TV back together. It worked perfectly!

Thank you very much Nick for saving my TV. I would recommend Nick’s TV service to anyone!
